The EAHL organizes a PhD Seminar for students or young scientists (under 35). Presentations may be posters or oral presentations:15 mn talk with power-point. 8 -10 candidates will be selected for oral presentations, 15 for posters. The selected abstracts will be inclosed in the book of abstracts printed by Brill. Topics will be :

-          Innovation and health care : Innovation in medicine, innovative health products and research, Innovative health care and patient rights, Access to healthcare and innovations - E-health and data protection , Intellectual property ,Innovative health care for elderly,  Involvement of patients in innovative healthcare , links with ethics and law in innovative health care.

-          Contemporary approaches to health law Contemporary approaches to public health law issues (vaccination programmes, etc.)Contemporary approaches to informed consent especially in the lf recent cases, ECtHR case-law and Health Law, Regulation of clinical research, embryo and stem cell research, Legal issues of Biobanks , Assisted reproduction regulation, , Regulation of end-of-life decisions - contemporary legal debate across Europe, Legal issues of direct-to-consumer genetic testing

On September 25th candidates will make their oral presentation in front of the jury. The posters will be displayed in the Salle des Colonnes during the conference.The jury will visit the posters and the authors should answer to the questions.The best oral presentation and the best poster will be selected for awards. The jury will give the results for the awards during the closing ceremony on the 27th. The text of the best presentations, selected by the Jury, will be published.

The PhD seminar is linked with the EAHL conference. Candidates should register to attend all the events of the conference (75 euros). Free invitations will be offered to PhD or young scientists  of the partners of the conference (contact AM Duguet : aduguet@club-internet.fr )

Guidelines

Please send a 500 words abstract in times new roman 12 with 5 references, on word format, as soon as possible before March 31st to the both  aduguet@club-internet.fr  and  Panagiotou.law@gmail.com

A first step will be to select the more relevant abstracts. Then the selected candidates will have to provide a 2-pages text with references for the final selection.
